How weekly hours work

To keep teaching rigorous and effective, we cap weekly hours per subject. Core subjects run up to 3 hours per week; non-core subjects up to 2 hours per week (each lesson runs for 50 minutes).

This ensures real depth in each subject, essential at a stage that lays the groundwork for GCSEs, without overloading students.

Core subjects

Up to 3 hours per week: English, Mathematics, Sciences.

Non-core subjects

Up to 2 hours per week: Geography, History, ICT.
