The people who make BRS
A school is only as good as its teachers. Ours are chosen for three things: genuine subject knowledge, real teaching ability and a character that reflects the values at the heart of BRS. Meet the people who will know, teach and care for your child.
Qualified, experienced educators
Our academic teachers bring university-level expertise and real classroom experience to their subjects. Because our classes are small, the teacher your child meets is the teacher who will know them personally, tracking their progress and supporting them throughout the year.
Atef Alreni
Computer Science & Software EngineeringAtef holds a Master's degree in Computer Science with Software Engineering from Wrexham University in Wales. He brings deep technical expertise to subjects like ICT, alongside the analytical and problem-solving approach that underpins strong teaching in maths and the sciences. His background gives students a genuine, real-world grounding in the digital skills that matter today.
Lyna Alreni
Psychology & LearningLyna holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the Open University. Her understanding of how children learn, stay motivated and build confidence informs the way she teaches, creating a supportive environment where every student feels able to engage, ask questions and grow. Her insight into the psychology of learning is especially valuable in small group settings, where each child is truly seen.
Vesela Yordanova
Education SpecialistVesela holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of Cumbria. With formal teacher training behind her, she brings pedagogical expertise and a structured, professional approach to the classroom, ensuring lessons are well-planned, purposeful and aligned with the standards families expect from a British curriculum education.
Authentic scholarship, taught with care
Our Quran and Arabic teaching is grounded in traditional, authentic scholarship, the kind of learning that is increasingly rare and deeply valued by families who want their children to connect with their deen properly.
Abu Esa
Hakim Muwakil Al AmrikiQURAN & ARABICAbu Esa studied in Yemen under the renowned scholar Sheikh Muqbil ibn Hadi al-Wadi'i رحمه الله, immersing himself in classical Islamic knowledge at the source. He has also completed study in Kuwait, qualifying him to serve as an imam, a reflection of both his scholarship and his standing.
He brings this authentic grounding to every lesson, teaching Quran (including Tajweed, Hifdh and Muraja'ah) as well as the Arabic language from beginner through to advanced, covering Nahw, Sarf, and the language of the Quran and Sunnah. He is also the author of a book in Sarf (Arabic morphology), reflecting a genuine depth of expertise in the language he teaches.
For families who want their children to learn the Quran and Arabic from someone with real, traceable scholarship, Abu Esa offers exactly that.
Knowledge, skill and character
We're careful about who teaches at BRS, because it matters more than anything else we do.
We don't use rotating pools of anonymous tutors. The teachers here are the teachers your child will know: consistent, committed and genuinely invested in their students' progress and wellbeing.
Genuine subject knowledge
Real expertise, not surface familiarity, but teachers who truly know the subjects they teach.
Teaching ability
The skill to explain, engage and bring the best out of a child, because knowledge alone isn't enough.
Character and ethos
In an Islamic school, how a teacher carries themselves and treats students matters as much as what they know.
Meet them for yourself
The best way to get a feel for our teachers and how they work is to talk to us about your child. Book a free consultation. No pressure, no obligation.
